World's first mass-scale facility that grows tomatoes without soil, fresh water, or fossil fuels launches in Australia. Sun-drop Farms' system creates 39 megawatts of energy per day, enough to maintain 18, 000 tomato plants inside a greenhouse. It is in the middle of a desert and completely independent of non-renewable resources.

An engineering marvel. Hovering is the World’s first suspended bicycle path roundabout.A 70-metre tall central pylon, 24 steel cables & a circular bridge deck made out of circa approximately 1, 000 tons of steel. The cables are attached to the inner side of the bridge deck, right where the bridge deck connects to the circular, concrete counter weight. This helps prevent torsion within the 72-metre diameter bridge deck. To ensure stability, concrete was added to sections of the bridge deck along with M-shaped supports.
Urban agriculture. The challenge is to produce enough food to feed the increasingly urbanized and growing population. Incredible rooftop farm takes over Israel’s oldest mall in the heart of Tel Aviv to grow thousands of organic vegetables. It produces 10, 000 heads of leafy greens a month year-round using organic and hydroponic methods without pesticides or synthetic fertilizers. The vegetables are primarily cultivated using a Deep Water Culture foam raft system.
